This is the Vietnam War Memorial, situated down a carless street from Uncle Ho's Place. You can't get any closer
then this.

This is the courtyard of the History Museum in Hanoi. Some great old pieces here, and pretty lanterns too.

Ngoc Son Temple on an island in Hoan Kiem Lake. Dedicated to a scholar, the general who defeated the Mongols in
the 13th century and the patron saint of physicians.

A bust of Ho Chi Minh, Uncle Ho. It could be almost anywhere in the country but this one is in the War Museum in
Hanoi.

One of the pastoral scenes between the Hanoi airport and the city. The rice patties border right on the airport.

The famous Municipal Water Puppets of Hanoi. The show was great. The boys loved it. And the parents
did too. Definitely recommended.

The famous Municipal Water Puppeteers. Skilled folks, these.

Typical Vietnamese architecture. Long and tall. Apparently has to do with the fact that property taxes are
figured on the length of frontage. Some things are universal.
